Our Future Plans / Developments

The Hypermobility East Anglia Group is always planning for future developments and develops services that fit the needs of our clients.

We are planning to have our own unique building estimated cost £ 10 million pounds to house Physiotherapists, all of our services and fully accessible for all so this can be used by other groups. For more information email: admin@heag.org.uk

Our clients are not just within our catchment area, which can cause a major headache for staffing and resources, however this should not always be a problem, provided people are prepared to volunteer.

In addition to helping people with the physical problems of Hypermobility we are finding that we are increasingly having to cover learning disabilities and this brings us into some options in the future for the actual employment of staff.

We hope to employ the following:

4-5 Individual Educational Needs Staff

4+ Occupational Therapists

4+ Specialist Physiotherapists who are trained in Hypermobility

Full/Part time Disability Officers

Facilitators to help with the implementation of helping people to get Direct Payment, Individualised Budgets; and In Control

Service Developments

Subject to lottery funding we would like to be able to run an Adults Support Network, similar to the Parents Support Network, but backed up with an Adult Information File.

An extension of our Pilates based programmes, for schools, In the Community; and individualistic programmes.

A Specialist Equipment fund to help people of all ages affected with Hypermobility obtain the aids and devises needed.
